Hi All
I used my car to experiment with the UK-spec version of the B28 engine,
changing the dizzy and metering head and re-plumbing the CPR vacuum feed.
Some time ago I fitted a cat bypass to my car and at the time, that gave
a noticable improvement. I was still outrun on the motorway by a friend
with a stock catted system.
However, now with the suro-spec upgrade, I can spin the wheels on a dry
road, although my clutch is now suffering! My "seat of the pants"
evaluation at the time after fitting the bits involved some expletives!
I still run a stock air filter and box. I just make sure to change the
filter every 6000 miles.
