If the calipers are original, they are 23+ years old. I
rebuilt/cleaned mine using John Hervey's seal kit and a lot of
naptha. They aren't that difficult to rebuild. You just need a
large bench vice to separate them and patience. I did it with the
help of this list, (and a local machinist).
If you don't know the service history of the brakes, you should
consider rebuilding the calpiers, flushing the fluid, checking the
rotors and replacing all of the pads including the parking brakes.
It's a messy job that took me several days but I took my time and it
was totally worth it.
