[DML] O2 sensor in single exhaust manifold

This has come up before, but I was not able to find it.  If I build 
a custom exhaust setup with true dual exhaust, will having the 
lambda sensor in only one of the two pipes work correctly with the 
ECU?  

By the way, if the answer to this is yes, you can expect to find my 
stock exhaust system (muffler, muffler brackets, crossover pipe, 
heatshields) on e-bay shortly.
