You may discover that line broken under the console as well. Ages
about as well as all other hard plastic DeLo lines.
Vacuum is only routed through it at Max A/C, so you won't have a
vacuum leak otherwise.
I ran an entirely new line of rubber from the Tee by the mode switch
to my valve. Windshield washer hose is the proper inside diameter. Bit
of a tight fit through the pontoon grommet, but with lubricant it will
slide through. Be sure to route it away from hot items in the engine
compartment.
Mr T's problems are indeed probably caused by the leaking idle speed
motor supply tube. That's a 3/4" vacuum leak -- much too large to
meter any fuel.
Could he not replace its O ring by simply loosening and raising the
back of the upper air assembly above the driver intake rail?
