On my first DeLorean I had the "cut and swap" sping
lowering done by the DeLorean Motor Center. Nice for
a boulevard cruiser in L.A. but not so nice for the
mountains of Colorado. As mentioned a day or so ago,
I now have the Grady 1.5" lower front springs and the
Maier shocks with the adjustable colloar on the rear.
IN NEITHER CASE HAVE I INSTALLED THE ADJUSTABLE LOWER
CONTROL ARMS. My tire wear on the rear is fully
satisfactory and, like most cars, the rears outlast
the fronts.
Too often people will tell you what you "have to get".
In the case of the DeLoreans, that does not alwasy
seem to be the case. Take your pick of the springs
offered. Give 'em a try. And then IF YOU SEE ABNORMAL
WERAR on the rears, you may want to invest in the
adjustable lower control arms.
Until then, save your money.
