Rear is easier than front, IMHO. I place the stands where lower
support arms join the frame. Are even molded protrusions that fit
cradles on the stands quite nicely. Only limitation is bit of a
squeeze between them if you're working in the bellhousing area.
When jacking the front, be sure to lift from the big frame, not
crumple extension. Place your stands there too.
It's interesting to note that on jack stands, the backwards
trapezoidal shape of our undercarriages (wider in the front than the
back) is really emphasized.
