Subject: Door lock modification
Hi,
there were many guys interested in modifying the door lock module - take a
look at the
DMCnews tech section. Dave uploaded my description a few days ago.
I tried to write in in english, I hope it hasn't become too Genglish ?!?
(German-English)
If there are still any questions - drop me a line.

@ Dave - did you already upload the smaller version ?

Subject: Re: Window Switches
Willy,
I used to have this problem too with the window switches. i bet your
wires
are really stiff under there, aren't they? use it to your advantage.
unhook
your switches from the white harnesses, take the console apart and get as
much slack as possible under there. fish the harnesses to where they need
to
be and try to angle them so that they are in the best position for when
the
switch is mounted. then bend the wires at a 90 deg angle so that they
make
an abrupt turn and don't hit the underbody and push the switch up. take
the
rocker off of the switch and insert it into the console, then plug in the
harnesses. reassemble the console, then make sure they switches are
totally
flat in their slots. once you are satisfied, put the rockers back on and
you
should be good to go!! if you try to push the switches back down with the
rockers on you probably will not get good results since you can't tell if
the
rocker or the switch has bottomed out.

Subject: delorean financing
I see that many banks dont like to finance the DeLorean for some
silly reason.I was however able to talk my bank into it by calling it
a "classic" car, banks are so obsessed with apearances its
ridiculous. The DeLorean I am buying runs but its got some problems of
course.Mostly the paint on the bumpers and facia needs to be redone I
might attempt this myself since I am somewhat good with a spray
gun.Anyone else out there have pic's of a homedone paint job on these
parts?I wonder how much the shops gonna charge to fix the bent
stainless on one panel.....?The interior is great however and the
motor is sound was run quite a bit apparently (thank god) People who
shelter the DeLorean in garages are slowly killing it I think.I was
going to wait and pay for a DeLorean in cash but I just cant bring
myself to wait. What if I die tomorrow?then I will never get a chance
to even drive one!! so Im gonna pay for it the long way.Wish me luck
guys!

Subject: 16 Miles Away- But May have fuel problems?
Dear DML,
I Have just recently traveled quite a distance to see a DeLorean in
person for the first time, and I absolutly think its the coolest car
in the world. Its even better in person than I could have imagined.
And you are right to say its just like a glove, it fits me so well!
But heres the kicker. I may have one in my back yard I had no idea
existed!
Basicly the run down is an old man died 10 years ago and his son is
running from the IRS for not paying taxes. We chatted with the wife
who is about 75-80 years old and she said her husband had one, but
wouldnt really talk about the car or her son since hes in hidding.
We gave her our number so her son could get in contact with us.
Hopefully well talk soon to him and get a chance to see his fathers
DeLorean, only 16 miles away! I have no clue if it is for sale, but
from the sounds of things it hasnt run for at least 10 years, and
sounds like one of those low mileage cars, like under 10-20,000 miles.
Now I want to be fairly pepared to see it, and if its for sale for a
great price I'll buy it, provided no frame rust which since its been
indoors for the past 10 years, it shouldnt have. However, I would
like a checklist procedure to drain and clean the fuel system before
I start it up, if I get a chance to do it. Does anybody have a set
of instructions that I can go by?
If and when I get a chance to see it I will record the vitals,
Black/Grey, Vin #, Trans Type and Milege and post it to the DeLorean
Record. But man, I cant get over there may be one only 16 miles
away, and mabye (I'm praying) even only 16 feet away in a few months!

Rt 206 (in Chester) and help you drive a route to avoid the traffic jam
that day down near lamington Rd in Peapack/Lammington.

Latest word from Sunstar is that the AMEX "gold" model is tied up in the
shipping snafu on the west coast. No estimated date of delivery is
available.

Subject: Performance parts
Hey all!
I've seen a fair amount of talk about performance upgrades recently,
and was wondering what kind of parts everyone is really interested
in for the PRV. I've got a few things up my sleeve yet, but input
from everyone is the best way to start new products.
Please let me know what everyone wants!! I've got a full exhaust
system that's almost ready for production that will give around a
20% increase in power over the stock system, and it's smog/street
legal!
Thanks!
Ryan
