[DMCForum] DCS 09 Prelude Planning

The past week in Las Vegas planning for DCS 09 Prelude has been hugely
successful.

There are so many unique opportunities that we can take advantage of

the near future.

Other opportunities include: (We are seriously considering developing
a POST DCS 09 event schedule because of all the choices.)

Delorean Drive and Gullwing Land Photo op (North Las Vegas)  about 20
minutes.

A private tour of a well known very wealthy person's car collection and
home featuring a vintage street, and mansion home with various themed
rooms- including a pyramid,  observatory, etc.   This would include
private parking on and photo ops on the site. The grounds include many
old Las vegas and displays from closed casinos.   This is not open to
the public.

Special Tour of a hydrogen generation facility using solar panels by
the Las Vegas water District.  (They have 3 hydrogen cars they are
testing)

Pole Position indoor electric go Kart racing.

Malibu racing dual rotor wankel engine go kart slolam racing. Must be
over 21.    Got to beat 59 seconds.

Bikini Car wash-(suggested by Gail)-up close and personal with some
local "dancers"

New "old Las Vegas"  neon museum on Fremont Street (not open until 2009)

Picnic in Red Rock canyon park.

On-site visit to Clark county museum with a vintage 1950s street where
we can park our cars for photo ops.   This has to be pre arranged since
this is a normally closed street.

Notes:
Cost for Hover dam is expensive.  $20 parking.  $30 tour.
Free Wi Fi at Panera with an ATT account.
Sushi 21 Flamingo and Decatur.   Good prices and a full bottle of Plum
Wine ($12).
Horse show at South Point Casino
Quarks will be closed. Last day in Sept 1. 2008.

Saturday morning Coffee and Cars  at 7- 8 am  at a local restaurant.
(This is a great way to start the day for breakfast with lots of cars
and people would love to see lots of DeLoreans)
