RE: [DMCForum] Little OT but need good thoughts.

Damm, I would have knocked people over trying to get out of there. To add
to this, I recently read about a side affect of a drug whose name I can't
recall right now. It would cause random eye movements, even while

Some reports were people getting unwarranted DUI's and now the risk of
damage while undergoing procedures on the eye.

Good to hear. Let us know how it goes over the next few weeks.

Curious, how was the surgery? I assume you are awake for the
procedure? Any pain, major discomfort, etc?

Anyone else around here have this done? How do you like it?

A coworker of mine told me a nice story. Apparently she (or a friend -
can't fully recall) was at one of these eye surgery centers and the
laser is controlled by a computer running Windows. That should be
enough to scare any computer geek away, but it gets better: The
technician running the system inputs information about your eyes and
the software then computes something - laser trajectories, beam
intensities, who knows. Apparently, the software popped up about a
dozen different errors while preparing to engage the beam. The
technician said, "Oh, it does this all the time" and just clicked "OK"
on each one like it was nothing.

Needless to say, she declined the surgery at that particular eye center.
