[DMCForum] Forums, votes, and philosophical bullshit.

I recall very well, you did not count the votes
correctly.

An "I don't care" vote kinda means "Things are OK as
they are". You added them on to the "ban topics"
column. Talk about "political" fuzzy math!

Besides, like 5% of the membership voted!! So, you
can count the other 95% as "I don't care" as well.

This is relevant, because to me (and others) the whole
fiasco looked like you on a power trip with Greg one
step behind cheering you on (while continuing to
engage in private e-mail).

YOU wanted the topics of religion and politics banned
because you lack self control. (Something many
religious people lack, which is why they turn to
religion to help them control themselves). Just
because you need rules to control yourself does not
mean we all do. Kind of like the same political
arguments we used to have, government making laws
based on religion. (Ahh, the good old days.)

Based on the TRAFFIC on this list now versus before, I
don't know that I would call the new rules a
"success". Do you have stats on the membership? Not
that it matters, but I recall the argument being that
we LOST members when the gloves came off and we had
100+ messages a day. How many members did we ADD as a
result of the ban?

We have had many civil conversations since then. I
don't hold anything against you, but it is best you
realize what went on in the reality of the world and
not just behind your own eyes.

Go to a web based forum so we can do what were already
doing here? The technology has no impact on the topic
of discussion. It is a poor argument for changing
forums.
