RE: [DMCForum] Re: GPS

I have not used the Tom Tom specifically but have used others. I have the
Garmin 2620 in my truck and will never again travel without one.

Using your PDA shouldn't be a problem. Keeping it in sight of the
satellites may. You would need to find a way to keep it in your site and in
view of the satellites. Laying it on the car seat may cause it to lose
information.

Also, one that audibly tells you turn by turn directions is an absolute
must.

hahhaha, thanks, Kevin! But I got lost in NJ too, just not as often.
My sense of direction is just bad, I don't think I'd ever be able to
drive if mapquest didn't exist.
Were these really good things you heard about the software or the
whole unit using Tom Tom?
Besides the software, I am thinking how user friendly is it to
convert your PDA into a GPS unit?
