[DMCForum] Repairing glass top range?

We have a Kenmore glass top range that has a small chip in it, on one
of the burners. We have the chip that fell out, it fits back in
perfectly. Can this be repaired?

Or, is it safe to use that burner with a small chunk of it's glass missing??

A replacement glass top is $500; I might as well just buy a new oven
for that price. :(
