RE: [DMCForum] Gee, what a choice.

Well, you have voted and others will as well to determine how this plays
out.  What other way can we do this than by group consensus?  By the way,
that was an option in the voting as well, to make another suggestion. To
reiterate, no one person or a select few is making any decision here.

This is a work in progress so who knows where it will end up.  One thing I
think is for sure, if people would moderate themselves then the group
wouldn't be where it is right now.

So, if someone has been unfairly suspended, what power
do they have to get a vote on the situation? Whats to
say a vote on the matter will work?  Or be fair?

IMHO, this is just as bad as the whim of the DML
moderators..  They have ultimate control to silence
anyone for any reason.  The situation you seem to be
looking to create on the Forum is pretty much the same
thing.

And if you (assuming you are making the decision on
when a rule is broken) improperly suspend someone,
then what??  Who cares??  We recently saw a DML
moderator abuse his power (a flame directed at me),
and a number of people complained about it and even
called for his resignation.  It is not even a week
later, and no one cares that no action was taken on
this abuse.  This is the same apathy that lets the
government get away with what they do..  (SEE!!  I
injected a political comment.  You can choose to NOT
respond to it)

Today politics and religion.  What will be added to
the list tomorrow?

I like the self-moderation better.  If you don't want
a topic discussed, don't participate.  Use your delete
key if you must.
