[DMCForum] vin 11489 and 1263 found

I went to check out two deloreans today on my way back from 
Chicago.  One of them has been in the service lot that you can see 
from the highway for years now, so I went to check it out.  11489.  
The frame is totally rotten.  The interior is really bad.  The 
stainless looks really good though.  The guy wants $8500 for it and 
seemed pretty firm.  The car isn't worth $5K.
Then I looked in the service garage and saw vin 1263.  The mechanic 
was rebuilding the engine for some reason.  Said it was over heating 
so it needed a rebuild....whatever.  Looked like a decent car that 
has had some use.  A few dings on the stainless.  Frame needed a 
restore but was ok for now.  I have pictures of both cars if anyone 
wants to see what a really rotten frame looks like.  I'd put them in 
the forum photo directory but its full!!  hey...people....clean out 
your pictures so we can see new stuff!!!
Interesting note: I'm a fireman in my area.  We have two trucks.  
1223 and 1263.  The car I saw today is 1263 and i know that 1223 
belongs to a guy on the list.  When I first started at my station i 
always wondered where those two VINs were.....now I know.  Weird.
