[DMCForum] Re: Alternative Illumination (Light Bulb Thread) (Greg)

You and I both know that there's perfectly good grass all over the
world, but some owners insist on buying it from one of the DeLorean
specific vendors. I guess those owners are at least guaranteed grass
that will fit a DeLo socket, and tech support if it won't burn. What
amazes me is people who ship their cars to these vendors to have grass
shoved into the sockets rather than doing it themselves.

But even I admit that Rob Grady is a master with grass. You can't tell
a socket full of his from a socket stuffed at the factory.

John Hervey is experimenting with grass alternatives. I think he's
found something that burns about as well but only produces half as
much heat.

Houston has a bunch of grass left over from original production, but
I'd be worried that it is getting a tad dried out with age. Concours
owners may have no other choice to stuff a bunch of OEM grass into
their sockets, but my DeLo certainly isn't a show car so I can get
away with anything that burns.
