RE: [DMCForum] Powdercoat color for my frame (was Re: New poll for DMCForum)

A local owner recently finished the suspension on his car making it as close
to original as possible.  He only cleaned and touched up the frame, but most
every part he could remove went to the media blasters and was then powder
coated.

He also replaced several little brackets and retainers, along with the DMCH
Eibach suspension set.  The underside of his car is absolutely stunning, but
unfortunately you can't see most of it.  When the car was up in the air
having new tires mounted, it really looked show room fresh.

I also really liked the black one posted recently.  I plan to take my
current car as close to original in appearance as possible, but may play
around with something else on another car.  Hmm... how about a darker, more
Irish green, with black suspension parts?  That could be interesting.

I can't wait to see your pictures.

Greg

Subject: [DMCForum] Powdercoat color for my frame (was Re: New poll for
DMCForum)

Hi guys,

Well as you can see I've created a poll, its been a while since we've
had one!

I'd appreciate any ideas any of you have on colors I could use on the
frame. Tasteful color schemes of course, not luminious green with
black spots!

After seeing a black powdercoated frame a few days ago in somebody's
pics, I though it looked really good. Also, the powdercoat will chip
through use, and black would be easier to touch-up.

I was also thinking (at a later stage - some time next year) of
powdercoating/painting my engine black, and adding some small chrome
touches here and there where possible. And some stainless braided
hoses where possible also.

Anyway, let me know what you think would be a nice color for the
frame, I'd appreciate it. Keep in mind it'll be staying this color
for good, and I don't really care if a non-original finish might
devalue the car in some people's eyes - belive me this car will never
be sold, so its value is meaningless.

Thanks!
John

PS will update teh website with pics soon, I promise.
