I had an extra battery and card as well.  There wasn't much to see under the
driver's side, but I was surprised to see how the pedals were installed.
They were mounted on the floor like in a Porsche or Volkswagen.

I took a lot of blind shots of the car and didn't know what was in the
picture until they were on my laptop.

I went out and bought an EXTRA battery for my camer just in case that ever
happens.
I also bought a 2GB stick for the camera.
I can take almost 600 shots in 7MP mode, in contrast I can do more than
10,000 in VGA!
Or, I can shoot 25 minutes of DV quality video right to the stick and it
sounds good.
I shoot video with it all the time and show it to people and they can't
believe
it came off that little thing.
I love the Sony Cyber-shots man, thay are the shizzle.

So, what's under the drivers side?
I only got a pic of the amp because Tony mentioned it to me!
