Well, you can hide the bottle on the side of the seat, if you have a skinny
water bottle.
Otherwise, if you have a fountain drink from the drive thru, where you gonna
put it?
For most they simply avoid those situations but if you drive your car a lot
and like
to have something to sip on then you will need a cup holder.
You can't exactly stick one of those little window cup holders on the side
from Wal-Mart for .99 cents.
You will be quite surprised the first time you forget about your drink and
open the door!

I thought it was high at first too, but once you use it you
can't live without it.
Plus, even though it looks like it would be poking the passenger in the
thigh,
it doesn't at all - it's a good fit.
