[DMCForum] low mileage car

I looked at a car very similar to this car today.  The body was in better
shape but it had 7000 miles, original tires and no updates.  I tried to
explain to the owner that the car needed a lot of work but he kept telling
me it was fine becasue it was running.  He wouldn't tell me what he wanted
for the car but looked shocked when I told him nice ones go for $21,000 and
that this one needs at least $5000 worth of parts and labor to make it
reliable.  Quick side question.  That rust pic on that 725 mile car looks a
little like the rust under the car I saw.  Can this be sanded and painted or
is it a sign of bad things to come?  It also frustrates me that delorean
sellers on ebay promote the fact that there car is all orginal with nothing
touched like its a good thing.  I would much rather the updates and old
parts be updated rather than have the original alternator, overflow bottle
etc.

Wow, the 725 mile car in Waterville Ohio looks REALLY rough for such
little mileage.  Especially that frame.  Damn!
