No, I'm saying if they *DON'T* restrict air intake (leave that
variable unchanged), yet increase MPG dramatically, they are either
running too lean or driving like little old men or some combination
thereof.

Air sensor plate would deflect the same amount because the same amount
of air is going into the engine. CO screw would just allow less
metering piston movement for that deflection.
