[DMCForum] Re: A/C squealing (Converting to R134)



I've had absolutely no problem with R134 in the DeLo (I think the
compressor bearings died from age and sitting idle).

R134 in the Lincolns does not refrigerate at idle. Could be slow
compressor speeds (500-600 RPM). Could be inadequate air flow over the
condensors (engine fans, not electric). Could be pressure problems
from suction throttling valves designed for R12. Whatever -- as soon
as the cars are moving it will freeze you out.  

I put that adapter on the low side only. All my A/C work is done on
the low side, so I really see no need for the big one.
