This is the voice of experience talking: do not use the transmission
mounting bolts to pull it back to the engine. You'll bind and deform
those tiny splines without even feeling any resistance. I ruined two
brand new clutch discs that way. I was able to wiggle the second
failed installation to within 1/2"-3/4" of the block and STILL bound
the stupid thing. It's very different from installing a 10 spline clutch.
