RE: [DMCForum] Full engine, long block and short block (CORRECTED)

James,

I would like to see pictures of these when you have time.  I have yet to
start the engine in my restoration project, but with those numbers you
greatly reduced my worries of having a blown engine.

Corrected items are in ALL CAPS...sorry for any confusion.

James

------------------

A "Full Engine" ($5233) is a complete engine less alternator, a/c
compressor, water pump, STARTER, fuel distributor and warmup
regulator. These can be swapped over from your old engine or otherwise
replaced.

A "Long Block" ($3500) is an engine from "valve covers to oil pan"
including valve covers, timing cover, and oil pan.

A "Short Block" ($1575) is a block with rods and pistons, oil pan and
timing cover.

Short blocks came from when Kapac needed parts and would just go and
cannabalize engines. We've not done that, and I think there may be
only one or two short blocks left at this point.

Long Blocks came about when some time ago we pulled some engines out
of inventory and stripped them down into the form that is described
above for the purpose of having them available for sale.

If anyone is interested, I can get photos of each of these and post
them later this week or early next.

James
