[DMCForum] Re: www.delorean.ie updated - frame restoration!

Hi Greg,

Thanks. Yes, I knew I had rust on the front of the frame, and knew if
I intended keeping the car, that something had to be done about it,
hence this project.

For the most part, the frame is in really nice condition, but I'm not
sure this really shows in the pics, most of the pics of the frame I
put on the website are the bad areas. I actually thought the front
frame extension was worse than it was, and thought for a while that I
would end up buying a new front frame extension from Ken. But, I
think now that the one I have is very repairable.

I would definitely recommend doing this job. Its not hard at all,
just lots of nuts and bolts, and would be made far easier if you have
access to a 2 post lift to separate the frame and body.

Then galvanise the frame, and never worry about rust again!

Thanks,
John
