Yeah, but one of the things that helps people to know their mortal
limits is sound. Allot of research is being done now on "Infrasound".
It naturally occurs, and tends to trigger fear and anxiety in people.
You know, like spooky old houses, creepy woods, and stuff like that.

And it also occures in automobiles. Metal stretchs, rubber bushings
are stressed under compression, tires howl at higher speeds, etc. It
is entirely possible that perhaps newer cars that contain so much more
insulation that isolates people from infrasound, end up bolstering
their confidence, because the they no longer realize that unconsious
fear. Thus their self-preservational insticts are erased, and they
become more of a risk.

I can tell you it's real. Ever since my rear suspension started
creaking allot more, I don't feel as safe at the same high speeds that
I used to.
