Damn right. I've got a Montero Sport Ltd. Great 4x4 capabilities. Last
weekend I climbed straight up the side of a mountain to get a good
view of a potential property purchase. Not as capable as a Hummer, I'm
sure, but still one of the best in it's class.

Holds the family, the dog, and a full load of groceries from Costco,
all while towing anything I'd ever need to tow. It's perfect. But you
know, I've thought about trading it in on an H2, and probably will one
of these days.

Yeah, mine dropped over $15k in 1.5 years. Tried to trade it in on
something different but the offers were ridiculous, so I kept it. I'm
5 years into ownership now (it's a 2000) and will keep it a bit longer.

Gas milage is fine, it's a V6 and does just as well as my DeLorean.

Uh, no it's not. Not to me. The purpose is to get somewhere in
particular - somewhere most people can't go. I prefer to do that in
comfort and style. Climbing that mountain this weekend with a plush,
heated leather seat surrounding me and the full, rich sound of a
classical concerto in my ears - no clue to what was going on outside
other than the steep angle at which I was perched - was wonderful.
Rattling, loud, uncomfortable and smelly old trucks need not apply.
