[DMCForum] Re: Apologizing All Over Ourselves (Marc)

"Mr. Robinson, you may have the luxury of running emission control
free but you're shirking a responsibility by not knowing the
emission levels of your vehicles. Without the use of an analzyer
you're simple guessing. Not to mention it's likely costing you in
the areas of drivability and fuel economy. As to why your posts seem
to generate controversy perhaps you're asking the wrong people. From
your posts I get the impression you're from the "old school" of do-it-
yourself mechanics and somewhat unknowledgable in many areas."

Perhaps if I were only as charming as other owners are...

Don't fret over my fragile ego. If I can survive checksix3, I can
survive anything. For several years he tried his best off List and
Forum to talk me into depressive suicide, but discovered I am
perfectly content in my own little automotive world. Was very
frustrating for him. His farewell message was classic. I would forward
a copy, but he and I agreed about a year ago to keep direct
correspondence confidential. Fatboy7 used to be another regularly
contributing fan, but lately he's disappeared. David Teitelbaum and I
have radically different approaches to transportation, and I used to
think we would mix badly in person, but he was thoroughly enjoyable
company at Fall Foliage 2003. I guess you never can tell.
