Scott, With the new low profile pancake fans that only draw 11 amps of
current compared to the old fans that draw 28 amps you may not need one.

  I've been considering picking up a fan fix...  I have the low
  power/quiet fans from John... if I were to encounter a similar "fans
  stuck on" situation, I'm not sure I would necessarily hear the fans!
