Quite right. Insurance companies can make a great deal of money by 
selling "totaled" cars out of state. When my Plymouth was declared a 
total loss, they did the body work (but forgot to fix the rear window) 
and sold it in Mississippi. I saw a woman driving it. I had the 
temptation to follow her, give her my spare key, show her the radiator 
flush kit I'd installed, and ask her how much she paid for it, but I 
decided it wasn't worth it.
