RE: [DMCForum] Junction point

Rich,

If you can give me a general area to start looking I can check my car for
you since it is pretty much gutted.  I can also take some pictures if that
will help.

In case you all missed it before:

Does anyone know the exact location of the junction point where the
white/slate wire T-'s off to it's many other locations? I want to
check that junction.

According to the wiring diagram, after leaving the ECU it splits off
to provide a path to the coil, tach and RPM relay.

Also, when I inspected my nearly new dizzy cap, I noticed a lot of
carbon scoring on the contacts. I scraped most of it off, but still
couldn't get them shiny. They still had black burn tracks on them.
I'll pick up another one today, but what could cause it to be so
excessive? Even though I cleaned them, and the cap was installed in
March, could this contribute to the problem?

Rich A.
