.... but they are sold in most other developed countries, and several
less developed - all over europe, scandinavia and australia. Can
Chrystler, Cadillac (I even had to think how to spell that, and imagine
I still got it wrong) and GM's only presence over here was managed by
buying existing brands (Vauxhall).

I'm not arguing your point - just reinforcing my contention with Bill
that within the auto market, in general, there's the US.... and the rest
of the world. And speaking as part of the latter, american cars aren't
prized very highly over here.
