You have a point.  My Suburban was "assembled" in Mexico.
The parts counter guy at the dealership where I bought it
saw my VIN and said, "Oh-oh, yours was built in Mexico."
I said, "Is there a problem with that?"
He said, "Just watch your brakes."

It turns out that they build the same vehicles in Mexico &
Canada, and the better quality comes from Canada.
