Car problems? A Communist! I knew it...

Backup light switch is located on driver's side of the transmission.
All by itself with two wires attached. If lights come on with those
wires connected together, switch is bad. Mine has died since Pigeon
Forge too (was twitchy to begin with).

Have you checked your door lock light bulb? I find those bulbs easiest
to remove from the back (reach behind the console. Be careful not to
knock wires off the HVAC mode switch).
