Years ago a friend of mine had a run-in with the sign commission.   
One Mr Comacho, the head of the city's graft-ridden agency, ordered 
that he remove a sign for his business from the building where his 
business was.  After endless battles, he removed the sign 
reluctantly.

But then he painted

COMACHO SUCKS

in its place.
