RE: [DMCForum] A/C questions

Rich, it looks like you and I will be doing this at the same time. Are you
replacing your accumulator?

Subject: [DMCForum] A/C questions

Dave's instructions seem very good. I like the idea of R-134a because
it's more environmentally friendly and I can do the work myself. As
summer approaches, I'm really interested in fixing my A/C.

That said, beyond basic refridgeration theory, I don't really
understand the A/C system. I know Walt is also good with A/C systems.

Step 1: Evaluation.
Currently the condensor is removed from the car. All other components
are installed and the compressor is hooked up.
Question: My fans do not switch on when I put the mode switch
on "max" or "norm" A/C positions. What part of the A/C system is
responsible for this? Where should I look?

Thanks,

Rich A.
