How is a production car not a real world example?  Besides all the engines Martin mentioned, the engine I was talking about reaches max HP at 8300rpms and redlines at 9000rpms.  

Time to get out of the dark ages.

and to meet your stupid challenge, horsepower can be measured separate of torque by multiplying a vehicle's mass, acceleration, and velocity.
