[DMCForum] Re: Which one?

I'm not a mechanic -- the most complex thing I've done on my DMC is
replace the alternator.  So this is the way I look at things:  How
much money do you have?

I assume the S-10 is somewhere in the neighborhood of $5,000?

A good, dependable DeLorean will run you $20,000 to $25,000 within the
first couple years, unless you get a really lucky purchase and spend a
lot of your own time fixing it up.  Don't let DeLorean prices on ebay
fool you.  These are NOT cheap cars to own.  Additionally, if it's
your daily driver, insurance could cost more than the monthly payment
on the S-10.

If you have the money, go for it!  If not, you won't look very cool
standing on the side of the road while smoke rises out of the engine.
And you won't like DeLoreans for very long.
