Both are good designs?  If by "both" you mean Island
and Legend, then your comments are incorrect.

Legend did include intercoolers, and the entire
internals of the engine were reworked to provide
performance and reliability.  There is no comparison
between the Legend built twin turbo, and any
aftermarket kit.
