[DMCForum] Heat shields on de-emissioned cars



Heat shield really isn't an issue on de-emissioned car. Exhaust temp
well below half of system with catalytic converter in place.

Noticed several cars at SEDOC with warped rear fascias. Perhaps people
should be engineering better heat shield on that side too.

Insulating material easily purchased by the sheet in all sorts of
materials. If/when I finally get around to installing replacement will
probably just trace old asbestos one and cut out myself.
