God, I miss the days when a Ford had a Ford engine in it and a Chevy had a Chevy engine in it, and they were made in the U.S. by Americans. Now I own a U.S./German car assembled in Mexico or Brazil and an American-targeted car designed by an Italian, built by the Irish. I guess if you think about it, John D. was a global commercialism pioneer. I don't -think- in '80/'81, we had any Honda plants in the U.S. or Ford plants overseas anywhere yet.
