[DMCForum] oiling the ignition distributor

I have the cap & rotor off and can see a chunk of felt pad that looks like
it is supposed to be an oil wick.  Is this what it is?  How much & what
kind
of oil should I put in there if any?  While I have access to it, should I
pull the whole thing out and mess with it or just leave it alone?
