The switchover was at VIN#800 before that they used 10-splines, after that 21 splines... I guess that makes for less than 300 DeLoreans with a 10-spline clutch... Wha I also found is that there's a difference in diameter for the clutch disc... Sometimes when you order an X-ref disc (like one from LUK) you can get either a 228 or a 235mm disc...
