as usual the most basic of repairs on my car goes horribly wrong.... I read in 3 or 4 places about the simplicity of a/c light panel bypass so your panel lights will only come on when you put your headlights on.... I had a few minutes the other day so i did it...I had some new wire and cut a 3 inch section stripped off the ends and put the 1/4 inch spades on each end and crimped it tight. It looks perfect. I removed the panel relay ( i know its the right one) I put one end in the bottom (the one facing you) and the one on the right side. when i turn the key the a/c panel does not light up which is great...half way there....however, when i turn the headlights on it does not light up. I tried a few different combiantions and can not get it to work right.... has anyone ever done this and had problems or heard of any possible solution as to why this would not work on my car? If I really get desparate I will take a pic of the wires in place to show I am doing it correctly...The only possible thing i can think of is on some of the posts about this they say to use a resistor???... baffled in baltimore Mike C ------------------------ Yahoo!
