That's always been the problem with "yes" people - they want to please the cheque signer, instead of being unique and showing original creativity. An other excellent example is Michael Jackson's staff and hangeroners, who "protected" and shielded him from the realities of life. He truly has no idea what he has done wrong in the public's view and in the norms of the real world.
