Re: [DMCForum] Hey Martin! TABs & washers

Dave

Ithink what Walt is concerned about is how the OEM washers show signs of
indentation or wear from rotating.

Does anyone know what grade the OEM washers are?

Stainless washers at the hardware store: $0.30 each. =)

There is no sheer force on a washer... So you don't have to spec a
material
based on that. There is only going to be a compressive force, and
anything
that doesn't compress will do fine.

Before you go to this expense though, Walt, do you have any actual market
for these? They make a batch of Toby-Tabs when the demand builds up, and
it
isn't that often. Are you sure you want to spend money to enter a
low-demand niche market, which already has a sufficient product to fill
the
need? It's your dough, but you may want to think about it before you get
stuck with a product that doesn't move very fast.
