Re: [DMCForum] Chock one up for the heat

John,

I agree with Nick. We need to know more about your electrical
configuration
before we can suggest what is wrong. You may already have a FanZilla in
there from a previous owner and not know it. The OEM configuration is a
blue relay-looking module in the far passenger side of the relay
compartment. If that is missing, then you will probably find jumper wires
plugged in its place.

Can you say how your fan fail light was behaving before you had any
problems? If you have the wire jumpers in place, then when the light
comes
on that means your fans are on and working. When the light is off, that
means the fans are off. Off could be good or bad. Good if your engine is
already cool and bad if it is hot and the fans aren't coming on when they
should.

If the blue fan fail module is in and everything is working then the only
time you will see the fan fail light turn on is just when the fans turn on
and then it will just flicker. If the light comes on and stays on, that
indiates a problem. But the OEM configuration barely worked when they did
work.

I'm glad you were able to sort your door problem.

Walt
