Yea, I searched for the 915 and pricing on it.  The cost to get the 915
with an LSD rebuilt with stronger parts to make sure it would work with
my engine was going to cost almost as much as the g50.  Plus, the 915 was
made from like 1972-86, so they're 20 to 30 years old. 

I've been told that the transmissions are really beefy and can handle
lots of HP, but since there nothing more than a 200hp engine was bolted
to the 915, I really didn't have much of a reason to choose the 915 over
the renault transmission. 

The '95 g50 that I got was originally mated to a 272hp engine, which is a
lot closer to 300hp..
