[DMCForum] ATTN: Jim S (#2)

I am running the forbidden vertical pickup and home made baffle
marketed by everyone's favorite "rogue vendor". Works 100%. I am
totally satisfied.

Note that crap from the BOTTOM of my tank (probably a piece of
deteriorated pump boot) broke straight through my aged and brittle
factory screens, killed my brand X pump (which lacked a check valve
anyway -- no great loss) and totally stopped up my fuel system.

Note also that one of my Lincolns from road salt territory has so much
rust in the tank (had to patch an actual rust hole) I equipped it with
*2* fuel filters -- one before the pump and the regular one on the
side of the carburetor. Every time I change the oil I change the lower
fuel filter too.

Don't even try to convince me gas tanks don't accumulate all manner of
evil detrius.
