Well first let me say that your lecture just reminded me of a couple profs I
had.  They would come into class with a hint of liquor on them, and go on
and on and on...

If you want a really good non-biased resource for topics that come up on
this list find your self a Bosch Automotive Handbook (bible).  I have the
1978 1st English edition pocket size and don't go anywhere with out it.
They talk about the theory behind everything an then how it applies to the
automotive world.
