I'm sure most of you folk are fully up to speed with potential frauds
and scams on eBay / Pay pal. Well here is yet another salitory lesson
from a good friend of mine and active club member. ( trimmed to protect
his dignity!)
BE WARNED DON'T TRUST ANY emails/ emails regarding your payment details.

Hi Chris,
Snip###
"I have suffered from a bit of a problem recently -
Unfortunately someone decided to try an identity fraud on my account and
nearly succeeded by sending both 'authentic'
HSBC letters with all my personal details being correct and calling
from the HSBC call centre(again totally convincing with all their
information being current and correct) and managed to extract all my
security codes in the process. I realised something was wrong at the
exact point they were emptying my account and I managed to get an
emergency stop put on it. In the process I had to close my ebay,
Paypall, website and bank account and effectively shut me down
completely!
It's such a shame there are so many scoundrels out there wanting to
grab all your hard work. "
